Designed to capture the distinctive sound and playing style of the Andean flute, it brings the warm, expressive character of the Quena to a D Irish flute platform. Compatible with Western scales and tuning, it allows players to explore South American musical traditions while maintaining the familiar fingerings of the Erinflutes system.
This headjoint produces a rich tone with excellent dynamic range and expressive potential. This headjoint is surprisingly easy to play if you are familiar with the front blowing style flute. It requires less embouchure precision compare to the traditional Irish flute headjoint.
